Our History

Back in 1979 with a background in construction and a pioneer at that time, Mr. George P. Daktylides made a dream of his come true; the opening of his first hotels in Mykonos; K-HOTELSconsisting of hotels Kohili, Korali, Kyma and Kalypso. In 1992, the Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts was founded by Mr. George P. Daktylides became one of the first established group of hotels in Mykonos.

The same year and after realizing the increasing need of discerning travelers for more up-scale tourism, Mr. George P. Daktylides embraced the idea of the development of a deluxe resort on the sandy beach of Platis Yialos. In 1992 Myconian Ambassador Hotel, a 5 star luxury hotel - member of Relais & Châteaux – addressed the prerequisite of personalized services woven with a touch of chic, contemporary architecture.

In 2002 two more jewels joined the Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts, Myconian Imperial Thalasso Spa and Royal Myconian Thalasso Spa.
